“The Dormitory” was the home to a group of young Humber College students in South Etobicoke, who each occupied tiny bedrooms to accommodate their low income budgets. Do to the fact that busy students were renting the home, “The Dormitory” was not in a presentable state for sale.
During our consultation, Glass Onion Group Inc. identified a list of home improvements that needed to be done in order to sell the home in a timely manner and receive a substantial return on investment. By following our design recommendations to prepare the home for sale, our team was able to completely redesign the space in one week, at no additional cost for staging, with astonishing results.
The “Design-To-Sell” overhaul included: top-to-bottom painting including kitchen cabinets, ceilings and all trim, minor repairs (including plaster/filling holes), new lighting, new hardware, new appliances, all new window treatments and complete in-home staging.
“The Dormitory” was listed in the fall and sold just before the market continued to drop, with a 2 month close to accommodate the sellers.
All staging and repairs were done in-house to keep costs to a minimum; an inclusive price for a bundled package offered by Glass Onion Group (included: purchasing real estate, listing real estate, design consultation and staging.
